While I am currently watching something on the Da Vinci Code, on the History Channel, I decided to write this post. I was going to do it eventually, and figured now was a good time to do it. Firstly, I’d like to say that while these are my views and beliefs, I do not expect anyone else to follow along, and expect, as I hope you would as well, take it as my own and not be offended by it. I don’t deny others their own beliefs, views and/or ideas, neither should yourself – so there!
I do not have particular religion, I find common instances in many, but I would like to state that I do not believe in God, or I should say, I do not believe in God as other people view, God. To me, God is within all of us. He/she is not one supreme being high up in the sky. That, to me, would be just plain ridiculous. If true, who the hell is he to stare down on us all, while we falter, feel pain, go through horrid obstacles of this thing called life. If the stories were true, where the hell do Dinosaurs fit in? And, what the hell was fucking Moses smoking, talking to a burning bush? Give me a friggin’ break.
When you think about it, I mean really think about it, the reason we believe in such non-senses, is because it was bred into us since birth. How can one really believe what is written in the bible to be true? It’s been passed down for centuries, re-written..blah blah blah! Religion was brought about to bring order, and for many, I guess they have it. From my own experiences, too many of those I see going to church each week, walk out and completley forget what it was they went in there for, complete hypocracy. Church scares me as a parent, as too many priests are convicted child molesters, and many more unknown, I’m certain. Why not, it’s too easy for them. Those types of people are going to seek positions in areas where they can easily gain the trust of others. And, the church is on the top of that list, because you also have the parents thinking the same, that all is good and well – couldn’t be better. Fuck that! If God were real, why would he allow such sickly people to be working for him? If he were real, wouldn’t you think he would dis allow such blasphemy?
I believe that people believe in him because it gives them a sense of peace. For me the peace is within. God is in all of us, telling us right from wrong. We make the choices, and we know in our hearts when we have done right, and when we have done wrong. That’s why at times it’s difficult for us to look in the mirror and see the truth of our ways. God in this way gives us direction, also a very useful gut instinct. Once you get to know your gut instinct, you will begin to always rely on it. It took me a while, but I can tell you honestly, it has never been wrong. It’s also that strong motherly instinct. When you as a mother know when something isn’t right with your children. Sometimes, however, you don’t know exactly what it is that is wrong, but you know something is, and that is where you have to do some work on your own to figure it out.
Karma is another one of those things that I strongly believe in. And, I think that goes right along with my belief of reincarnation. What we don’t learn in this life, we will have to go over and learn in our next life. Karma plays a big role here. It’s also why I never made that voodoo doll of my ex husband. Because of all the pain he caused me and my children, last year I thought about making a voodoo doll. In my research as to how to go about doing this, I stumbled across a site that stated that it would go against your karma, so I set aside that idea quickly. Figuring, I’ll just let his karma happen on it’s own (it’s just never quick enough for me). The strange part being, I had strong feelings that this voodoo doll would work… it still raises my curiosity today, damn it all!
At any rate, these were my thoughts on God, and some of my beliefs. Feel free to comment, criticize or whatever, it’s all good.

Wow! Scary how someone else views this the same way I do!
I also believe that “Hell” was created to scare everyone (of faith) into being good.
I agree with you 100%! Great job!
We are few but strong. One of the reasons that I detest christianity is because they have to beat fear into people, especially children, to believe in God. If God we real I don’t think he’d approve of this whatsoever. It’s all a load of crap!
